The upcoming New York City Concours is expected to showcase a range of cars and motorcycles, with the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne taking center stage. The fully-electric hypercar will be exhibited on Manhattan’s 72nd Street alongside more than 40 other vehicles. After making its debut in the US in March 2022, the Carmen Boulogne impressed American audiences at The Quail last month.
The latest car from Hispano Suiza is an electric vehicle (EV) and marks the return of the Spanish brand after the release of their last car, the H6B ‘Xenia’, in 1938. The Carmen Boulogne EV has a modernized design that draws inspiration from the brand’s classic models. Its powertrain includes two electric motors, both used to power the rear wheels, with the regular Carmen providing 1019hp and the Carmen Boulogne boasting a massive 1114hp. The rear tires have quite a challenge to handle all that power.
The Carmen Boulogne by Hispano Suiza is a hypercar that stands out from the rest with its blend of luxury and performance. Unlike other hypercars, it places equal importance on comfort and style as much as it does on speed and power. The interior of the car is designed with plush quilted leather surfaces instead of just a tight and racy cockpit. The car also boasts advanced technology features such as a fully digital instrument cluster and a large portrait touchscreen in the middle of the cabin. The purple over white example seen here is the first Carmen Boulogne to be delivered to a customer in the US and will be showcased by Hispano Suiza.
According to Hispano Suiza CEO Sergio Martínez Campos, the United States is a vital market for the Spanish company.
